Second Accuser Joins Maryland Lawsuit Alleging a Rockville Teacher Abused Him in 1989, Hoodline Reports
A lawsuit in Montgomery County, Maryland, alleging decades-old sexual abuse by a Rockville schoolteacher has been expanded to include a second accuser, according to an Oct. 2 report from Hoodline. The outlet reported that the newly added plaintiff says he was abused by the same teacher in 1989.
Maryland's 2023 Child Victims Act removed the civil statute of limitations for child sexual abuse claims, and Hoodline's report places this case among the historic-abuse suits now moving through the state's courts. The allegations concern conduct from more than three decades ago and are civil claims, not criminal charges.
The allegations are untested in court, and this site does not name the accused. Hoodline's story, linked here, contains the specifics of the filing and what the school system has said about the case.
