Sept. 27, 2026 · WOOD TV 8

A West Michigan daycare worker already facing charges over the alleged sexual abuse of children in his care has been hit with 23 additional counts, WOOD TV reported this week. According to the station, the new charges were filed in Ottawa County as the investigation expanded.

WOOD TV previously reported that the worker was arrested after a multi-agency investigation involving Michigan State Police, and that authorities had said more than 20 children were believed to be affected. The station reported that investigators had signaled further charges were possible before this latest filing.

The charges are allegations and have not been proven in court. WOOD TV's report lays out the counts filed, the jurisdictions involved and how families with concerns have been directed to contact investigators.
