Oct. 8, 2026 · KOKH Fox 25

A former city manager in Waurika, Oklahoma, who also served as a reserve officer with the city's police department, has been sentenced after pleading guilty to child sex crimes, KOKH (Fox 25) reported. According to the station, the 32-year-old pleaded guilty on Tuesday to a charge of buying, procuring or possessing child pornography and to four counts of using video equipment in a clandestine manner.

KOKH reported that the case began in January 2024, when the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office asked the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation for help with a possible sex offense in Waurika. Agents interviewed the then-city manager and seized electronic devices from his home, and investigators said they found several images depicting child sexual abuse, according to the station's account.

The judge imposed 20 years on the child pornography count and five years on each of the remaining counts, KOKH reported, but under the terms of the plea agreement he will serve 15 years in prison, with the balance suspended and credit for time already served. The station reported he will be required to register as a sex offender upon release.
