California School Aide Held Without Bail on Child Sexual Abuse Material Charges After Tip to Investigators

Oct. 13, 2026 · Hoodline

A 28-year-old paraprofessional aide who worked at a nonprofit school in El Dorado County, California, is being held in county jail without bail on multiple felony counts of possessing child sexual abuse material, Hoodline reported on Oct. 9. He was arrested Oct. 1 on suspicion of possessing abuse imagery of children, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff's Office as cited in the report.

Hoodline, citing earlier reporting by CBS News Sacramento, said the case began with a tip from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children that was referred to detectives with the Sacramento Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. That investigation identified the suspect and his employment at the school, according to the reporting.

Detectives served multiple search warrants on Oct. 1, and Hoodline reported that during the search they found evidence suggesting there may be an additional, unidentified minor victim connected to the case. The aide is not named here as a matter of site policy, and the charges are allegations that have not been proven in court.
